Supporting Sustainability With Style

Our Mission
Beads For Seeds grew from our belief that fresh, healthy, organically grown food should be available to everyone. We believe seeds are a a product of nature and should not be under the control of man or institution. We believe by educating and providing natural resources that we will not only impact individuals and families, but whole communities.
We have partnered with Feast Down East and Foodcorps, to help distribute our seeds, we feel they share our vision for what a difference a healthy food system can make.

For every purchase you make, you will provide Non-GMO, and organic seeds for gardening projects. Together we can change our world one seed at a time.

The Gardens
Where do the seeds go? I have been asked that a few times at the shows. I was embarrassed that I could not name off the whole list, and some I knew where they were but would forget the name of the school or neighborhood. So here is a list, that I hope will keep "growing" (I love that word) I will update this page with new gardens when we add them.

2018 Community Gardens

Creekwood Community Garden
Gruber Plaza Community Garden

The Seeds
Along with knowing what gardens are benefiting from the seeds, I thought it might be fun to know what seeds are being donated also.
I ask for a wish list so that I know what seeds are needed, makes it easier when it comes time to buy seeds. We set it up as spring/summer seeds, fall/winter seeds and some cover crop seeds. If I can I like to throw in fruit or herb plants too.

 Here's the list

Black-eyed Peas*

Fall/Winter
